Aaron Pico looking to rebound from disastrous debut

Wrestling standout and Bellator MMA signee Aaron Pico made his MMA debut on June 24th at Bellator NYC against Zach Freeman… All was set up for Pico to begin a dominant career as an MMA fighter, however nobody sent Freeman the memo.

Freeman knocked Pico down and choked him unconscious with a guillotine Choke in only 24 Seconds, leaving many wondering if Pico was worth all the hype.

Pico’s next walk to the cage will be on the main card of Bellator 183, which takes place at the SAP Center in San Jose, Calif., on Sept. 23.

Bellator are still looking for an opponent within the Lightweight division.

Bellator 183 is headlined by a lightweight showdown between Benson Henderson and Patricky Freire and will also see Roy Nelson make his promotional debut against Javy Ayala.
