Neiman Gracie is currently fighting in Bellator MMA, he’s the next generation from the famous Gracie family to compete in MMA. MMAUK caught up with him for a quick Q + A interview:

MMAUK: You recently submitted Zak Bucia at Bellator 185. Did the fight play out as you expected?
NG: Yes. I was able to impose my game
MMAUK: You are now 7-0 in MMA are you looking to start fighting for belt soon?
NG: Yes that’s the plan. I’m ready to take on bigger challenges
MMAUK: Do you feel there is an extra pressure on you due to representing the Gracie family? Especially with not too many Gracie’s currently competing in MMA?
NG: Yes the pressure was always there but I don’t let that affect me. I’m used to it because I been competing since I was a kid
MMAUK: You have medalled in several BJJ tournaments in the past, do you still compete or are you solely focused on MMA?
NG: Now I’m just focused on MMA.
MMAUK: Had you always planned to compete in MMA?
NG: Yes MMA is my passion and my plan was always to be a Vale-tudo fighter. That’s what we used to call them back then.
MMAUK: You train at one of your relatives gym Renzo Gracie Jiu Jitsu Academy in New York, how is it training with such a legendary figure in MMA?
NG: It’s great. Renzo is the man and he teaches me a lot.
MMAUK: What do you hope to achieve within MMA?
NG: I want to be a world champion
