Enforcer of the East – featuring CES MMA fighter Nate Andrews

On April 6, CES MMA will kick off their 2018 year with CES MMA 49. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will meet an East Coast submission specialist looking to lock up the CES MMA lightweight title, Nate Andrews.

A professional since June 2012 and representing New England Combat and Tri-Force MMA, Nate Andrews owns a 12-1 record in 13 career bouts consisting of seven submissions and five knockouts. Andrews has spent the majority of his professional career with CES MMA.

In his MMA debut, he submitted Pedro da Silva in the first round via rear naked choke.

Andrews also tapped out Leon Davis in the second round via guillotine choke.

Next, he defeated Leroy Derricott via TKO in the first round.

Andrews knocked out Asa Zorn in the first round at CES MMA Path to Destruction.

At CES MMA New Blood, he submitted Jeff Anderson in the first round via rear naked choke. Andrews knocked out Franklin Isabel in the first round at CES MMA 20. He defeated Jay Bakanowski via TKO in the first round at CES MMA 29.

Andrews knocked out The Ultimate Fighter season 16 alumni Julian Lane in the second round at CES MMA 33.

In the main event of CES MMA 36, he submitted Manny Muro in the third round via rear naked choke.

In his second consecutive headlining event, Andrews tapped out George Sheppard in the third round via guillotine choke at CES MMA 40.

He submitted Bruce Boyington in the second round via triangle choke at CES MMA 45.

In the co-main event of CES MMA 47, Andrews submitted Tyler Combs via rear naked choke in the first round to earn his sixth straight victory.

At CES MMA 49 on April 6 he will lock horns with California’s Chris Padilla for the CES MMA lightweight title. Good luck Nate!

Analysis

Given Andrews nickname of ”The Snake”, if this fight goes to the ground at any point I expect he will use his deadly arsenal to take his opponent into deep water.

I think a UFC call-up will eventually be in the cards for Andrews, though I would not be surprised if he ends up being recruited for season two of Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series and earns his place in the UFC through there.
