Buckeye of the Southwest- featuring LFA fighters Jeff Hughes and Bevon Lewis

Through 38 events in their promotional history, Legacy Fighting Alliance has produced countless prospects that have gone on greener pastures. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will meet two intimidating prospects on the verge of their breakthrough moment.

Jeff Hughes – A professional since October 2014 and representing Strong Style Training Center, Jeff Hughes owns a 9-1 record in 10 career bouts consisting of five decisions, three knockouts and one submission. Hughes is the current LFA heavyweight champion with one successful title defence. In his MMA debut, he submitted Devon Wilson in the first round via guillotine choke. Hughes defeated his next two opponents via TKO in Ed Abrasley and Leviticus Robertson. Then, he defeated Curt Lemmon via unanimous decision at RFO Big Guns 16 The Summit. At Caged Madness 40, Hughes knocked out Jason Riley in the round via spinning back kick. He defeated John Hawk via unanimous decision at RFO Big Guns 18. At RFO Big Guns 24, Hughes defeated Ryan Pokryfky via unanimous decision. In his Legacy Fighting Alliance debut, he faced Richard Odoms in the main event of LFA 26 and defeated him via unanimous decision to capture the LFA heavyweight title. In his first title defence, Hughes faced Maurice Greene in the main event of LFA 38 and defeated him via unanimous decision to retain the title. I would not be surprised if the man they call ”Lights Out” adds his name to the impressive list of LFA champions that have inked a contract with the UFC!

Bevon Lewis –A professional since October 2015 and representing Jackson-Wink MMA, Bevon Lewis owns an unbeaten 5-0 record consisting of three decisions and two knockouts. Lewis is currently 2-0 under the LFA banner. He has also appeared on season one of Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series. In his MMA debut, Lewis defeated Aaron Aschendorf via unanimous decision. Then he defeated Kristopher Gratalo via TKO in round three. In his LFA debut at LFA 10, Lewis defeated Sonny Yohn via unanimous decision. At Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series 8 he defeated The Ultimate Fighter season 23 alumni Elias Urbina via TKO in the second round. In his return to the LFA cage, Lewis defeated Collin Huckbody in the co-main event of LFA 38 via unanimous decision to extend his unbeaten streak to five to begin his professional career. This dangerous prospect has set the Southwestern MMA scene aflame!
