The Jersey Crusader featuring Bellator MMA fighter Ricky Bandejas

Bellator MMA’s talent-rich bantamweight division will have plenty of lions ready to feast in 2019 when the promotion kicks off their schedule with Bellator 214 on January 26.

In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will meet a jersey crusader looking to state his case as one of the division’s top prospects.

A professional since April 2014 and representing Nick Catone MMA, Ricky Bandejas owns an 11-1 record in 12 career bouts as a professional comprised of four knockouts, four decisions and three submissions.

Prior to making his debut with Bellator MMA in 2018, Bandejas fought under the banner of Cage Fury Fighting Championships.

He is currently 1-0 under the Bellator MMA banner.

In his MMA debut at Cage Fury Fighting Championships 35, he tapped out Dwayne Holman Jr in the first round via guillotine choke.

Bandejas defeated his next two opponents via decision in Chris Piriz at CFFC 37 and Merab Dvalishvili at CFFC 43 respectively.

Then at CFFC 45, he submitted Alfred Jones via rear naked choke in the third round. At CFFC 48 Bandejas defeated Leo Muniz via TKO in round two.

In his next appearance with Cage Fury Fighting Championships at CFFC 58, he defeated Jordan Morales via unanimous decision.

Bandejas tapped out Tony Gravely via rear naked choke in the second round at CFFC 60. He defeated Miguel Restrepo via unanimous decision at CFFC 61.

Bandejas defeated Giorgi Kudukhashvili via TKO in the first round at CFFC 66. In his final outing with Cage Fury Fighting Championships at CFFC 69, he knocked out Nick Mamalis in the fourth round.

In his debut appearance with Bellator MMA at Bellator 204, Bandejas knocked out Ireland’s James Gallagher in round one to secure his first win with Bellator MMA.

The victory also gave him his fourth knockout win as a professional. With an outstanding 11-1 record as a pro, the buzz surrounding this jersey crusader has reached a fever pitch!
