Tiger Eye featuring UFC fighter Grant Dawson

To achieve success in MMA, an individual’s actions must speak louder than his words. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will meet a midwestern tiger ready to spring into action at UFC On ESPN Plus 4 on March 9. A professional since August 2014 and representing Glory MMA and Fitness, Grant Dawson owns a 12-1 record in 13 career bouts as a professional comprised of nine submissions and three knockouts. Dawson earned a contract with the UFC on week six of season one of Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series in 2017. He has earned a finish in all 12 of his victories as a professional.

In his MMA debut, he submitted Jeremiah Denson via rear naked choke in the second round. Dawson also tapped out his next three opponents that included victories over Matt Williams and James Smith. Then, he submitted Chris McDaniel in round one via rear naked choke. Dawson also tapped out Danny Tims in the first round via rear naked choke. He submitted Andrew Carrillo in round one via rear naked choke. In his second appearance with Victory Fighting Championship at VFC 47, Dawson defeated Bryce Logan via TKO in the second round. He also defeated Robert Washington via TKO in round two in his lone appearance with Titan Fighting Championship at Titan FC 37. At Victory Fighting Championship 52, Dawson defeated Christian Camp via TKO in the second round. He tapped out Mike Plazola via triangle choke in round one.

At Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series 6, Dawson faced Adrian Diaz and submitted him in the second round via rear naked choke to earn a contract with the UFC. He also secured his ninth submission victory as a professional in the process. For his debut appearance with the UFC at UFC On ESPN Plus 4 on March 9, he will face DWTNCS season two alumni Julian Erosa in a featherweight clash. Good luck Grant!
