Destruction’s Dealer featuring UFC fighter Sheymon Moraes

It is no secret that the UFC likes to add a dash of international flavour when making their divisions deeper. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will meet a Brazilian firecracker looking to make an explosive impression at UFC On ESPN 2 on March 30 in the promotion’s return to the city of brotherly love for the first time since UFC 133 in 2011.

A professional since March 2012 and representing Black House MMA, Sheymon Moraes owns an 11-2 record in 13 career bouts as a professional comprised of six decisions and five knockouts. Prior to making his debut appearance with the UFC in 2017, Moraes competed with World Series of Fighting and various MMA organizations in his native Brazil.

In his MMA debut, he defeated Richard Medeiros via unanimous decision. Moraes defeated his next three opponents that included victories over Pedro Arruda and Pedro Nobre. Then, he defeated Eliel Dos Santos E Santos via split decision.

Moraes knocked out Felipe Alves in the first round. In his debut appearance with World Series of Fighting at WSOF 16, he defeated Gabriel Solorio via split decision. For his third outing with World Series of Fighting at WSOF 26, Moraes defeated UFC veteran Robbie Peralta via TKO in the second round. At WSOF 31 he defeated Luis Palomino via unanimous decision.

In his second appearance with the UFC at UFC 227, Moraes faced Matt Sayles via unanimous decision to secure his first victory with the UFC.

At UFC 230 he defeated Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series season one alumni Julio Arce via split decision to score back to back UFC victories. The win also earned Moraes his sixth decision victory as a professional.

At UFC On ESPN 2 on March 30, he will aim for his third consecutive win in the UFC when he faces  Sodiq Yusuff in a featherweight battle. This contest will open up the main card on ESPN. Good luck Sheymon!
