Lightweight Lancer featuring Cage Warriors fighter Jack Grant


The Cage Warriors lightweight ranks have plenty of leaders looking to carry the division’s torch. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will meet a dynamic lightweight lancer setting the division aflame with his all-out aggression and showing Cage Warriors why he is the division’s top title contender. A professional since September 2012 and representing AVT, Jack Grant owns a 15-4 record in 19 career bouts as a professional comprised of eight knockouts, six submissions and one decision. Prior to making his debut appearance with Cage Warriors in 2017, Grant competed with various promotions across Europe including BAMMA. He is currently 3-0 under the Cage Warriors banner.

In his MMA debut, he defeated Andrew Connor. Grant also defeated his next two opponents in Rafael Barros and Danny Welsh. Then at Caged Steel 5, he submitted Gokhan Turkyilmaz in the first round via anaconda choke. Grant knocked out European MMA veteran Jason Ball in round one at Caged Steel 6. He tapped out his next two opponents in Abi El Khalfi and Georgi Stoyanov. Grant submitted Antanas Jazbutis via armbar in the first round at Caged Steel 11. He knocked out Warren Kee in round one at BAMMA 20. At Almighty Fighting Championship 4, Grant tapped out Jordan Miller via rear naked choke in the first round. He also defeated his next two opponents in Kim Tinghaugen and Romain Robert. 

In his debut appearance with Cage Warriors at Cage Warriors 88 in Liverpool, Grant knocked out Perry Goodwin in the first round to secure his first victory with Cage Warriors. He defeated Mehdi Dakaev via unanimous decision in his second outing with Cage Warriors at Cage Warriors 93. For his third appearance with Cage Warriors at Cage Warriors 96, Grant defeated Alekski Mantykivi via TKO in round one to earn his eighth knockout victory as a professional and also picked up his third consecutive win with Cage Warriors in the process. Having earned a finish in 14 of his 15 victories as a professional, Grant has the hottest hand to be first in line for a taste of lightweight gold!
