Tokyo prepares for the Japanese debut of ONE Championship tomorrow, with its stacked card ‘A New Era’.
On an evening that sees no less than four title fights, as well as the first appearances of former UFC champions Demitrious Johnson and Eddie Alvarez, the promotion known by many as the largest in Asia will look to establish itself on a global scale with this epic night of action.
“It is the biggest event ONE has ever put on, and it’s also the biggest martial arts event in history,” Said ONE Championship CEO Chatri Sityodtong, in an exclusive interview with MMA UK.
And that’s not all- as ONE prepares to make history with this, it’s most high profile event to date, life long martial artist, Sityodtong believes this is just the start of big things to come for ONE Championship.
“If you knew the global superstars that had reached out to us, you would be blown away, so we can top this very easily. I will just say this is the very beginning.”
ONE Championship’s ‘A New Era’ goes down on Sunday the 31st of March at the Ryogoku Kokugikan, Tokyo Japan.
