Fighters often jump from promotion to promotion before finding their footing. A professional since September 2015 and representing American Top Team OKC, Emily Ducote owns a 7-5 record in 12 career bouts as a professional comprised of four submissions and three decisions. Ducote has competed with various promotions including Bellator MMA and has finished four of her seven victories.
At OKC Fight Night Charity Fight Night 2016, she defeated Ronni Nanney via unanimous decision. Ducote also defeated Jianna Denizard via unanimous decision. Then in her debut appearance with Bellator MMA at Bellator 159, she faced Bruna Vargas and submitted her via rear-naked choke in the second round. Ducote also tapped out Kate Miranda da Silva in round two via armbar at Bellator 161. At Bellator 174 she submitted Katy Collins via rear-naked choke in the first round. Ducote defeated Jessica Middleton via unanimous decision at Bellator 181 to earn her third decision win as a professional.
Following her release from Bellator MMA, she returned to the local scene to take on Kathryn Paprocki at Xtreme Fight Night 356 and went on to tap her out in the third round via rear-naked choke. The win also Ducote the fourth submission victory of her professional career. For her debut outing with Invicta Fighting Championships at Invicta FC 36 on August 9 live on UFC Fight Pass from Memorial Hall in Kansas City Kansas, Ducote will face Brazil’s Janaisa Morandin in a strawweight battle that certainly packs some international spice.
