Across The Pond Profile: UFC fighter Tracy Cortez

Women’s MMA and Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series appear to go hand in hand with the unbeaten Maycee Barber being a shining light of success. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will be introduced to a keen-eyed huntress whose thirst for battle and an unrelenting drive to win knows no limits. A professional since August 2017 and representing Fight Ready, Tracy Cortez owns a 6-1 record in seven career bouts as a professional comprised of four decisions, one submission and one knockout. Cortez earned a contract with the UFC on week six of season three of Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series in 2019. She has also competed with V3 Fights, Invicta FC World Fighting Federation and Combate Americas.

At World Fighting Federation 36, she defeated Roxanne Caesar via unanimous decision. Then in her second appearance with Invicta Fighting Championships at Invicta FC 28 that also marked the promotion’s first visit to the state of Utah, Cortez faced Kaytlin Neil and defeated her via unanimous decision. For her lone outing with V3 Fights at V3 Fights 69 she submitted Monica Medina via rear-naked choke in the first round. At Combate Americas Cortez faced Karen Cedillo and defeated her via TKO in the second round. In her third and final appearance with Invicta Fighting Championships at Invicta FC 34, she defeated Erin Blanchfield via unanimous decision.

At Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series 6, Cortez faced Mariya Agapova and defeated her via unanimous decision to earn a contract with the UFC. The win also earned Cortez the fourth decision victory of her professional career. Dangerous in all facets of MMA and is no stranger to the bright lights of big stages ensures that this fearsome warrior is primed for battle as she embarks on the next chapter of her momentous MMA journey!
