Across the Pond Profile: Bellator MMA fighter Daniel Carey

In their 226 event history, there have been countless dark horses that seem to have a knack for capturing the bright light of being one of Bellator MMA’S prospect hype train killers. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will be introduced to a red clay razorback looking to continue his relentless charge towards featherweight gold. A professional since September 2016 and representing Family Combat Fitness and MMA under the skilled hand of head coach Brian Foster, Daniel Carey owns a 7-3 record in 10 career bouts as a professional comprised of three submissions, two knockouts and two decisions. Carey has competed with Legacy Fighting Alliance and Bellator MMA. He has managed to secure a finish in five of his seven professional victories.

In his MMA debut at Horsepower Promotions Fists of Fury 7, Carey faced Philip Morehead and defeated him via TKO in the second round. He also defeated Brandon Bailey at Xtreme Fight Night 340 via TKO in round one. Then in his second appearance with Legacy Fighting Alliance at LFA 18, Carey faced Thomas Lopez and managed to tap him out in the third round via rear-naked choke. He defeated Diego Pichillingue via unanimous decision at LFA 27. For his second outing with Bellator MMA at Bellator 195, Carey faced Cris Lencioni and managed to defeat him via unanimous decision to earn his second decision win as a professional. At Bellator 202 he tapped out Aaron Webb via rear-naked choke in the second round to earn back to back victories with Bellator MMA.

At Bellator 226, Carey faced knockout artist Gaston Bolanos and managed to submit him in the first round to get his third victory under the Bellator MMA banner. The win also earned Carey the third submission victory of his professional career. Dangerous wherever the fight ends up, foes have every reason to fear the steel tusks of this red hot razorback!
