In MMA, there have always been rivalries that have made the sport must-see TV from Bonner v Griffin in the early days of the UFC as well as a tinge of international spice such as England’s Dan Hardy. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will be introduced to relentless, hard-charging hammerhead looking to hit the bullseye and strike while the iron is hot at Cage Warriors 109 on October 26 from the Resorts World Arena in Birmingham, England. A professional since November 2016 and representing Urban Kingz MMA, Mick Stanton owns a 5-3 record in eight career bouts as a professional comprised of four decisions and one knockout. Stanton has spent the majority of his professional tenure with Cage Warriors and has also competed with BAMMA and Shinobi FC.
In his MMA debut at Shinobi war 9 Winter Warfare, he faced Danny Nash and went on to defeat him via TKO in the first round. Stanton also defeated Mark Kinsella at Shinobi war 10 evolution via unanimous decision. Then in his debut appearance with Cage Warriors at Cage Warriors 88, he faced Josh McManus and defeated him via unanimous decision to earn his first win under the Cage Warriors banner.
At Cage Warriors 101 in the promotion’s return to Liverpool, Stanton faced Jenaid Ebanks and went on to defeat him via unanimous decision to pick up his second victory with the promotion. He also defeated Alex Montagani via unanimous decision at Cage Warriors 105. The victory also earned Stanton the fourth decision win of his professional career. For his next outing with Cage Warriors at Cage Warriors 109 on October 26, he will lock horns with Michael Younis in a middleweight affair. Also featured on Cage Warriors 109 will be Dean Trueman, lightweight champion Jai Herbert and the Cage Warriors debuts of Chris Miah, George Smith and Jordan Vucenic. Good luck Mick!
