Across the Pond Profile: Invicta FC fighter Shanna Young

There have been countless promotions that have been given a much needed shot in the arm by getting exposure on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will be introduced to a fearless warrior of southern MMA ready to go full beast mode on the flyweight division in Invicta Fighting Championships and show just how fearless she truly is A professional since April 2015 and representing Knoxville Martial Arts Academy, Shanna Young owns a 7-2 record in nine career bouts as a professional comprised of three knockouts, three decisions and one submission. Young has competed with various promotions throughout her professional career including Invicta Fighting Championships, Valor Fighting Challenge and King of the Cage. She also appeared on week eight of season three of Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series in 2019. Young has gone on to earn a finish in four of the seven victories she has earned in her professional career thus far.

In her MMA debut at Valor Fights 22, she submitted Katelyn Dykas in the third round via rear-naked choke. Young also defeated her next two opponents in Christina Jobe and Moriel Charneski. Then at KOTC generation X, she faced Pam Sorenson and went on to defeat her via split decision. Young also defeated Jessica Borga in round three at Valor Fighting Challenge 54. At Valor Fighting Challenge 56 Night at the Joe 3, she faced Anastasia Bruce and went on to defeat her in the first round.

At Invicta FC 38 Young faced Finland’s Majiu Suotama for the second time and defeated her via unanimous decision to earn her first win under the banner of Invicta FC. The win also earned Young the third decision victory of her professional career. Dangerous inside and out, this warrior of the south with zero fear in her soul is ready to channel her inner beast!
