Across The Pond Profile: Ring of Combat fighter Phil Caracappa

Appearances on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series can often open up new doors or lead you right back to the promotion where you first cut your teeth on and steadily grew as a professional mixed martial artist before receiving the big breakthrough opportunity that could drastically change life as you once knew it and bring a little light and shimmer of good hope to the less fortunate living in a cesspool of constant darkness and despair.  In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will be introduced to an east coast enforcer ready to issue some season’s beatings in the east coast MMA scene in 2020. A professional since February 2017 and representing Dante Rivera BJJ, Phil Caracappa owns a 7-1 record in eight professional bouts comprised of five decisions and two knockouts. Caracappa appeared on week nine during the third season of Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series in 2019. He has also competed under the banner of Ring of Combat in his home state of New Jersey.

in his MMA debut at Ring of Combat 58, Caracappa faced Tommy Espinosa and went on to defeat him via unanimous decision. He also defeated Brandon Urquijo via split decision at Ring of Combat 60. Then at Ring of Combat 61, Caracappa defeated Nathan Trepagnier via TKO in the third round. He also defeated Urquijo for the second time at Ring of Combat 62 via unanimous decision. Carracappa defeated Miguel Restrepo via unanimous decision at Ring of Combat 63. At ROC 65 he defeated The Ultimate Fighter season 14 alum and UFC veteran Louis Gaudinot via unanimous decision to pick up his fifth decision win as a professional.

At Ring of Combat 67, Caracappa faced John Sweeney and defeated him via TKO in round three to score the second knockout victory of his professional career. Do not even attempt to double-cross this enforcer of MMA in the east unless you want a severe whacking!
