Across the Pond Profile: Bellator MMA fighters Emilee King and Jessica Borga

The influx of female talents has created a vital link in the chain between promotions that seems to be growing ever stronger by the second in the ongoing efforts to give women a voice of empowerment. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will be introduced to two of the leading females of fearless strength creating a wealth of contrasting colours in Bellator MMA with their own deadly tools of the trade.

Emilee King

A professional since December 2017 and representing Knoxville Martial Arts Academy, Emilee King owns a 4-3 record in seven professional contests comprised of three submissions and one decision. King has fought for Valor Fighting Challenge, Invicta Fighting Championships and Bellator MMA. She is currently 1-0 under the banner of Bellator MMA. At Valor Fighting Challenge 57 Fight Night at the Joe 4, she faced Ashley Hancock Samples and went on to submit her in round one. King also tapped out Anastasia Bruce at Valor Fighting Challenge 59 via rear-naked choke in the second round. Then at Valor Fighting Challenge 66, she defeated Shawna Lee Ormsby and went on to defeat her via unanimous decision to pick up her first and only decision win in her professional career thus far. In her debut appearance with Bellator MMA at Bellator 238 King submitted Ava Knight in the first round via rear-naked choke to earn the third submission victory of her professional career along with her first win in Bellator MMA. You can expect to bleed a bright shade of Tennessee orange if this tapout hunter of the south goes to the ground!

Jessica Borga

A professional since March 2018 and representing Champion’s MMA, Jessica Borga owns a 3-2 record in five professional contests comprised of two knockouts and one submission. Borga is currently 1-0 under the Bellator MMA banner and has also fought for Titan Fighting Championship. She defeated Hayley Turner via TKO in the first round at Battleground MMA live in Tampa Bay. Borga also defeated Lucie Bertaud via TKO in round one at Titan FC 54. At Bellator 226, she submitted Amber Leibrock in the first round via armbar to earn her first submission win as a professional. This gator’s jaw packs much more than a deadly shot of venom!
