Across the Pond Profile: UFC fighter Randy Costa

MMA is more about the journey than the trappings of fame and everything else that gets hitched to the train. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will be introduced to a bruising bullet train whose trips on the one round or less express has him speeding down the tracks at a rapid pace in the UFC‘s 135-pound ranks without once skipping over a beat of his lion sized heart. A professional mixed martial artist since June 2018 and representing Lauzon Mixed Martial Arts, Randy Costa owns a 5-1 professional record in six bouts with all five of his pro victories coming via knockout. Prior to making his debut in the UFC in April 2019 at UFC 236, he competed with Cage Titans. 100 per cent of Costa’s wins as an MMA fighter has come inside of round one with each win coming in five minutes of cage time or less.

In his MMA debut at Cage Titans 39, he took on Stacey Anderson and defeated him via TKO in the first round. Costa knocked out Kenny Lewis in round one at Cage Titans 40. Then in his third appearance for Cage Titans at Cage Titans 41, he faced Chris Thorne and went on to knock him out in the first round. Costa also defeated Rob Fuller via TKO in round one at Cage Titans 42 that also turned out to be his last outing under that promotion’s banner.

For his second fight in the UFC at UFC On ESPN 6, he faced DWTNCS season one alumni Boston Salmon and went on to defeat him via TKO in the first round. The win also earned Costa the fifth knockout victory of his professional career along with his first win in the ranks of the UFC. This goes all the time train of pure speed is causing foes to jump the tracks to avoid getting run over!
