Across the Pond Profile: Kevin Syler

The debut season of DWTNCS on ESPN Plus turned out to be the UFC‘S white whale in terms of the sheer volume amount when it boils down to UFC signees. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will meet a galloping gator ready to bite a sizeable chunk out of his foes with his all-out ground blitz. A professional mixed martial artist since April 2014 and representing American Top Team, Kevin Syler holds an undefeated 10-0 professional record comprised of seven submissions, one knockout, and two decisions. Syler appeared on week number four of season three of DWTNCS in 2019 and has finished eight out of his 10 victories as a pro-MMA fighter thus far. The bulk of Syler’s wins as a pro-MMA fighter have come inside the distance with only two of the 10 wins overall having received the full distance treatment.

In his MMA debut, he submitted Cleaveland Mclean in the second round via rear-naked choke. Syler also tapped out Facundo Carabajal via kimura in round two. He defeated Kester Mark at Fight Time 21 via unanimous decision. Syler tapped out Paulo Milanez via arm-triangle choke in the second round. He defeated his next two opponents in Damian Ruiz and Damian Tolaba. Syler submitted Juan Cruz Cipriani in round number one via heel hook. He tapped out Marcelo Bustos in the first round.

At DWTNCS week four of season three,  Syler took on submission specialist Lance Lawrence and defeated him via unanimous decision to pick up his second decision win as a professional. He tapped out Franco Arunda via triangle choke in the second round. The win scored Syler the seventh submission victory of his professional career. Don’t end up going to the ground with this Picasso of the tapout or you will wind up becoming premium gator bait on the shiny end of a metal hook!
