Across the Pond Profile: Vida Fighting Championships fighter Jay Cucciniello

For 28 seasons, The Ultimate Fighter provided a whole host of tales about success and redemption. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will be introduced to a serene master of the saber ready to hack and slash when the cards are dealt out. A professional mixed martial artist since September 2010 and representing Lillius Barnatt Martial Arts, Jay Cucciniello owns an 8-2 professional record in 10 bouts comprised of five submissions and three knockouts. Cucciniello appeared on The Ultimate Fighter season 27 as a member of team Stipe in 2018 and has gone on to earn a finish in all eight of his victories in his tenure thus far as a pro-MMA fighter. He has also fought for numerous promotions from all across the globe including the South African MMA promotion known as EFC. All eight of Cucciniello’s wins during his professional career have come inside the distance.

In his MMA debut at Kayo MMA True Spirit, he took on Sam Ward and submitted him via armbar in the second round. Cucciniello also tapped out David Howell via rear-naked choke in round one at Quest Fighting Championship. Then, he defeated Danny Joel via TKO in the first round. Cucciniello defeated his next four opponents that included wins over Luke Dalton and Daniel Requeijo. For his one and only appearance with EFC at EFC 64, he submitted Wesley Hawkey via rear-naked choke in the first round to pick up his fifth submission win as a professional.

In 2018 Cucciniello was chosen to be a part of The Ultimate Fighter season 27 cast at featherweight and was the sixth selection of team Stipe. On episode four he faced Bryce Mitchell. In the final fight of the season Cucciniello defeated Tyler Diamond via TKO in the third. On the ground or in the pocket, this serpent of Spain is dead on with his marksmanship!
