BRAVE Combat Federation, the premier Mixed Martial Arts organization based in the Kingdom of Bahrain, founded by His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Hamad Al Khalifa, is reaching the milestone of 50 events and the biggest stars will be in action for the momentous event. None other is bigger than Jarrah Al-Silawi, the best fighter in Arab MMA history.
BRAVE Combat Federation president Mohammed Shahid confirmed the news that Jarrah will indeed be defending his title in the main event of BRAVE CF 50, set for April 1st. He will take Ismail Naurdiev, the biggest young star in the Super-Welterweight division.
‘’Jarrah is a historic name for Arab MMA and for BRAVE CF, so it’s only natural that he should headline our biggest event ever. He has accomplished so much for the region, given value to the sport here and beyond, and showed that we can produce our own superstars. He will be facing a top, top fighter in Ismail Naurdiev. We have recently made huge moves in the Super-Welterweight division, we brought in amazing names to complement the world-class set-up we already had and I am very excited to see the division unfold in 2021 starting with this amazing match-up between champion and challenger’’
The bout will mark the first title defence of Jarrah’s second reign as world champion since he got the belt back after defeating rival Abdoul Abdouraguimov in their rematch.
His opponent in this title match is a newcomer to BRAVE Combat Federation but is far from being a rookie in the sport. In fact, Ismail Naurdiev is a well-known name in the MMA community worldwide.
Born in Grozny, Chechen, but living in Austria, Naurdiev got himself the nickname “The Austrian Wonderboy”, due to his style and accomplishments. Boasting a professional record of 20 wins and only 4 losses, Naurdiev had success in the Russian and European scene and in the West before arriving at BRAVE CF.
