BRAVE CF 49: Gabriel Fly and Dumar Roa face off with title shot on the line

BRAVE CF 49: Super Fights has gotten a major addition in a bout with Featherweight title implications. Brazil’s Gabriel Fly will return to action against Dumar Roa, from Colombia, with the winner gaining traction towards a title shot at 145 lbs. The bout will be part of the March 25th event, the third of four huge shows hosted by the truly global organization in 21 days.

The Latin American rivals were supposed to face each other in the main event of BRAVE CF 45, back in November of last year. However, Gabriel was forced off the card and replaced by Ian Entwistle. Roa then beat the Englishman to keep on track at Featherweight.

Since then, the duo has repeatedly called each other out on social media and initiated a rivalry that has rocked Latin American MMA. They will now have the chance to settle their differences inside the BRAVE CF arena and move forward in one of the deepest divisions in the promotion. In fact, the winner of this bout will be granted a shot at the vacant world title at 145 lbs, it has been announced by officials.

Fly hasn’t fought since BRAVE CF 26, when he submitted John Zarate, Roa’s countryman. ‘’Corazon de Leon’’, on the other hand, has been in action last year against Entwistle and, before that, earned an amazing KO victory over former BRAVE CF Lightweight champion Abdul-Kareem Al-Selwady.

BRAVE CF 49: Super Fights will be headlined by the rematch between Jose Torres and Sean Santella after their split draw back at BRAVE CF 42. The winner will advance to the semifinal of the BRAVE CF Flyweight Tournament. Also set for March 25th, are the returns of former Lightweight world champion Luan Santiago and rising star Muhammad Mokaev – they meet Benoit St. Denis and Abdul Hussein, respectively.
