Tyron Woodley leaves UFC?

Speculation has been building surrounding Woodley’s future since he was beaten by Vicente Luque at UFC 260. The fight marked Woodley’s fourth successive loss since holding the Welterweight belt and was the last fight on his contract with the company.

On Saturday evening Woodley was removed from the UFC talent pool on their website and is no longer available in the fan rankings. We recently saw this same pattern when Junior Dos Santos and Alistair Overeem were let go from the organization.

All of this occurs less than a week after a video of Woodley getting into it with Jake Paul and his team emerged online, followed by a back and forth on social media. Perhaps Tyron will explore this further.

Woodley successfully defended his championship 4 times while with the UFC, sitting at the top of the 170lbs division from 2016-2019.

This may be the end for Tyron’s UFC career, but he will be remembered as one of the great Welterweight champions regardless of his post reign form.
