Hiestand has finished 80 percent of his wins during his career as a pro-MMA fighter thus far and has gone to the scorecards a single time during his journey in the professional MMA ranks. Hiestand is currently a member of The Ultimate Fighter season 29 as a member of Team Alex.
In his professional MMA debut at Excite Fight Conquest of the Cage, he submitted Phil Shriver in the first round. Hiestand defeated Corey Conway via unanimous decision at FFC 32 to earn his first and only decision win as a professional so far. He defeated his next two opponents in Jeff Coleman and Jessie Jacobsen. Then, Hiestand tapped out Shane Sargent in the first round via rear-naked choke. The victory earned Hiestand the second submission win of his professional career.
In 2021, he was selected to be a part of The Ultimate Fighter season 29 cast at bantamweight. On the opening episode of the season, Hiestand was chosen as the seventh bantamweight selection for team Alex.
