JJ Ambrose vs Kyle Driscoll set for CW 130

JJ Ambrose and Kyle Driscoll will face off in a lightweight contest when Cage Warriors returns to San Diego on October 17th for CW 130.

Cage Warriors held their first show in San Diego last month, with the fans in attendance being treated to some fantastic fights and some spectacular finishes, and fans should expect more of that to come at CW 130.

Announcing the fight, Cage Warriors president, Graham Boylan, said: “This is going to be an interesting matchup for all those watching.

“JJ Ambrose is a well-travelled veteran with plenty of experience who will be looking to put that to use.

“Kyle Driscoll last fought on Dana White’s Contender Series last year, and though he won, he wasn’t offered a contract, so I bet he’ll be looking to prove a point in this bout.”

Ambrose comes to Cage Warriors with a 34-8 record, with 26 wins coming within the distance. Of those 26 stoppages, 20 have been submissions but hasn’t fought since 2019.

Talking about his upcoming return to action, Ambrose said: “I’m excited to be making my return to the cage after a long layoff.

“Covid sucks, but making my return in front of my family and friends back in California makes it all worthwhile.

“I can’t wait to dust some of this ring rust off!”

Driscoll will make his Cage Warriors debut on the back of a seven-fight win streak, with 50% of his 12 wins coming within the distance.

Ahead of his Cage Warriors debut, AKA team member Driscoll spoke about his excitement in joining the promotion: “I love Cage Warriors.

“If there’s any promotion to fight for outside the UFC, I’m glad it’s this one!

“My opponent is very experienced with over 40 fights, I will press him on the feet to force him to shoot and then it’s my world down there.

“I will break him!”
