Across The Pond Profile: Mark Ewen of Higher Level Martial Arts

The global MMA circuit is steadily shaking off the rust after the year the world stopped. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will be introduced to a serpent of the sword ready to strike from the shadows like cold steel as the newest freight engine of Scottish MMA. A professional mixed martial artist since August 2021 and representing Higher Level Martial Arts under the expert eye of head coach James Doolan, Mark Ewen holds an unbeaten 2-0 professional record, with both of his victories as a pro-MMA fighter coming via knockout. Ewen has fought for several promotions including Almighty Fighting Championship. He has yet to reach the scorecards at any point during his time in the professional MMA ranks thus far. Ewen has managed to finish both of his wins, with two second-round finishes under his belt. Both of Ewen’s wins during his career as a professional mixed martial artist have come within the second round. 100 percent of his victories during his pro career have come within the distance so far in the space of two rounds in the span of a 10 minute period. Ewen is currently 1-0 under the banner of Almighty Fighting Championship. He has also competed for numerous regional MMA promotions in his home nation of Scotland.

In his professional MMA debut at Holytown Havoc, he faced Michael Blair and went on to knock him out in the second round. Then at Almighty Fighting Championship 20, Ewen defeated Tom Mullen via TKO in round two. The victory earned Ewen the second knockout win of his professional career. He also picked up back-to-back finishes in the process. Ewen is one freight train whose blitzkrieg of a pace is enough to send any unfortunate soul careening off the rails and is quietly and quickly showing promotions why he is the best-kept secret in all of Scottish MMA!
