London’s own Nathaniel Wood will fight in his home town as he puts his Cage Warriors title on the line for the first time against undefeated Welshman Josh Reed

It’s England versus Wales in the main event of Cage Warriors 86 in London onSaturday September 16as Nathaniel ‘The Prospect’ Wood puts his newly-won Cage Warriors bantamweight title on the line against unbeaten Welsh challenger Josh ‘Crazy Horse’ Reed.

The Indigo at The O2 in London’s Docklands will play host to Cage Warriors’ latest event, as London’s Wood will look to negotiate his first successful title defence in his home town.

Wood captured the title with a hugely impressive finish of Swiss submission ace Marko Kovacevic in the main event of Cage Warriors 84, and the Brit returns to the same arena to put his belt on the line for the very first time.

He’s up against hard-charging opposition in the form of Welshman Reed, who boasts a perfect professional record with all but one of his seven wins coming inside the distance.

‘Crazy Horse’ stopped Ben Rees on his Cage Warriors debut at Cage Warriors 76, then followed up with a significant victory as he defeated Martin Sheridan by split decision at Cage Warriors 79. In his most recent outing, Rees produced his most impressive performance to date, knocking out Gavin Kelly in the first round to earn himself a title shot.

The rest of the card will be fast and furious as flyweights Sam Creasey and Paul Marin go toe to toe, Ireland and Belgium clash at bantamweight as Darren O’Gorman takes on Brian Bouland and eight fight Cage Warriors veteran Sean Carter takes on Joe McColgan.

Due to Alan Carlos being removed from the card due to injury, we are working to find a new opponent for Jason Radcliffe.
