Season 26 of The Ultimate Fighter saw the introduction of the women’s flyweight division. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will meet two fearsome females ready to write the next chapter in their respective MMA journeys.
A professional since April 2015 and representing All Star MMA, Sijara Eubanks owns a 2-2 record in four career bouts with both of her victories coming via knockout. Eubanks was a member of The Ultimate Fighter as a part of Team Alvarez on TUF 26. She was also a three-time Invicta Fighting Championships veteran.
In her MMA debut at Invicta FC 12, Eubanks defeated Gina Begley via TKO in the first round. In her second Invicta FC appearance, she defeated AmberLynn Orr via TKO in the first round at Invicta FC 18. In 2017, Eubanks was chosen to be a part of The Ultimate Fighter season 26 and was the fifth female selection of Team Alvarez. In episode five she submitted Maia Stevenson in the second round via kimura to advance to the quarter-finals. In episode nine, Eubanks knocked out DeAnna Bennett in the first round to advance to the semi-finals. For episode 12 she defeated Roxanne Modafferi via unanimous decision to advance to the finals. At UFN 131 on June 1, Eubanks will face Lauren Murphy in a women’s flyweight affair. Good luck Sijara!
A professional since April 2016 and representing Team Loyd Irwin, Shana Dobson owns a 3-1 record in four career bouts consisting of two decisions and one knockout. Dobson competed on TUF 26 as a member of Team Alvarez and has also fought for XKO. In her MMA debut at XKO 30, she defeated Cassandra Spatz via unanimous decision. Next Dobson defeated Rebecca Adney via unanimous decision at XKO 35. In 2017, she was chosen to be a part of TUF 26 as a member of Team Alvarez. In her UFC debut at The Ultimate Fighter season 26 finale, Dobson defeated Ariel Beck via TKO in the second round. For her second outing in the UFC, she will face the undefeated Lauren Mueller in a women’s flyweight contest at UFC on Fox 29 on April 14. Good luck Shana!
