Manchester’s own Pietro Menga makes his ACB debut against experienced Japanese star Takeya Mizugaki in a bantamweight bout at ACB 87 in Nottingham, England.
Menga makes the move up to bantamweight after signing a multi-fight deal with ACB. Pietro ‘Pitbull’ Menga earned his very apt nickname on his tear through the flyweight division as his attacking style saw him finish 11 of his 13 victories inside the distance with 8 of those finishes coming in the very first round! Known in particular for his submission game, he will look to put these skills on show in Nottingham on May 19th against his biggest test to date – Takeya Mizugaki.
Takeya Mizugaki is a name known around the world to MMA fans, and the Japanese star is someone who has been in there with some of the biggest names in the sport including Dominick Cruz, Cody Garbrandt, Bryan Caraway, Francisco Riviera and more. This will be the MMA veteran’s first fight on UK soil and he will be looking to put on a show for the fans in Nottingham.
Mizugaki is not a fighter to take anyone lightly and with him still searching for a win in the ACB cage there is no doubt that he won’t be overlooking England’s own Pietro Menga!
Europe’s #1 MMA promotion ACB returns to the United Kingdom on May 19th at the Motorpoint Arena in Nottingham, England, as the first major mixed martial arts show to head to the city since September 2012.
