Cage Warriors is always searching for more international talent to build their ever-expanding divisions around. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will meet two international hammers looking to expand Cage Warrior’s global empire.
A professional since October 2017 and representing Pedro Bessa BJJ, Mason Jones owns an unbeaten 3-0 record consisting of two submissions and one knockout. Jones has finished all three of his professional fights so far in his career with two of those victories coming on Cage Warriors. In his MMA debut at Cage Warriors 87 in Newport, he submitted Shawn Luther in the third round via rear naked choke. Jones also tapped out Brett Hassett in the first round via kimura at Adrenalin Fight Nights. In his second Cage Warriors appearance at Cage Warriors 91, he defeated Lawrence Jordan Tracey via TKO in the second round to extend his unbeaten streak to three to begin his career. Jones will be looking for his fourth consecutive victory when he takes on Craig Edwards in the headliner of Cage Warriors Academy on May 12 in a lightweight battle. Good luck Mason!
A professional since April 2015 and representing Shooters Dundee, Scott Malone holds a 4-1 record in five career bouts consisting of two knockouts, one submission and one decision. Prior to making his Cage Warriors debut in 2018, Malone competed with On Top Promotions, Headhunters FC and Caged Steel Fighting Championships. At On Top Weekender, he submitted Kev O’ Fee in the first round via von flue choke. Then Malone defeated Adam Bramhald via TKO in the first round at CSFC 16. He defeated Spain’s Kevin Cordero in the co-main event of Headhunters FC. In his Cage Warriors debut at Cage Warriors 91, Malone faced Welsh submission specialist Jason Jenkins and defeated him via unanimous decision. Malone is certainly bringing the hammer to the Cage Warriors bantamweight division!
