It’s CW94 fight week! This Saturday, Cage Warriors partner with Eleven Sports to deliver the biggest MMA fight card in Belgium’s history at Antwerp’s Lotto Arena. Here’s the fights you absolutely cannot miss, and how to watch the action from home.
The CW94 card is topped by a history making fight for MMA in the region. Belgian bantamweight star Brian Bouland will take on the unbeaten Ilia Topuria of Spain in a huge title fight between two of the very best contenders in Europe: the first time in Cage Warriors’ history that a Belgian fighter has challenged for the title.
Belgium is producing some of the fastest rising talent on the European scene right now, and Brian Bouland is taking the lead. Bouland is riding a 7-1 record and fighting off the back of two devastating one-punch finishes in his last fights with Cage Warriors, but will face a stern test in Ilia Topuria, an undefeated submission specialist and Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt who has proven himself unstoppable in the Bantamweight division since his debut. Topuria has recently been seen training with top UFC names Alexander Gustafsson and Jimi Manuwa, proving just how far he’s willing to go in order to leave Belgium with the Bantamweight title this Saturday.
CW94’s co main event is a clash between lightweight prospects Erdi Karatas and Jai Herbert. Karatas has beaten some notable names on the lightweight scene in dominant fashion since his debut in 2011, and is riding a 4-fight win streak. Herbert, one of the most talked-about new additions to the roster, enters CW94 with a 100% finish rate and will want to begin his Cage Warriors run with a dominant victory.
Also featuring on the CW94 card are Belgian fan favourites Jan Quaeyhaegens, Sameer Alekozai and Donovan Desmae, who faces Holland’s Hubert Geven after knocking out Richard Williams in spectacular fashion during CW91.
