Cage Warriors is always searching across the globe for talent to sign to expand their vast global reach and continues to be the shining example for promotions across Europe. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will meet two devastating assassins leaving a trail of destruction in their quest to become the top dogs in European MMA.
Liam Gittins – A professional since April 2018 and representing Team Elite Southport, Liam Gittins holds a perfect 3-0 record with all three of those victories coming via knockout. Gittins has fought for Cage Warriors, Shinobi FC and Almighty Fighting Championship. In his MMA debut at Almighty Fighting Championship 8, he defeated Scotland’s Iain Postlethwaite via TKO in the first round. At Cage Warriors Academy Northwest 3 Gittins defeated Leigh Mitchell via TKO in round one. For his debut outing with Cage Warriors at Cage Warriors 96, he defeated Spain’s Kevin Cordero Lopez via TKO in the first round to secure his third consecutive knockout victory in a row and extended his unbeaten streak to three to begin his professional career. With all three of Gittin’s wins as a professional not having made it past the first round, if this lion spots any signs of weakness he will tear you to bits!
Cory McKenna – A professional since March 2018 and representing Tillery Combat MMA under the guidance of head coach Richard Shore, Cory McKenna owns an unbeaten 2-0 record comprised of one knockout and one decision. Both of McKenna’s victories as a professional have come under the Cage Warriors banner. In her MMA debut at Cage Warriors 91, she defeated Maria Vittoria Colonna via TKO. For her second appearance with Cage Warriors at Cage Warriors 94 McKenna defeated France’s Eva Dourthe via split decision to score back to back wins with Cage Warriors. At Cage Warriors 97 on September 29, she will look to make it three in a row when she battles Micol Disegni in a strawweight affair. Good luck Cory!
