Brave 18 posters released featuring Al Selwady

Brave Combat Federation released the latest posters for Brave 18 hosted during the Brave International Combat Week in Bahrain. The poster features Abdul Kareem Al Selwady alongside Hamza Kooheji, Felipe Efrain and Stephen Loman. Abdul Kareem Al Selwady was withdrawn from Brave 16 where he was scheduled to face Guram Kutateladze in a lightweight bout in the main card. Selwady pulled out of Brave 16 amidst ongoing discussions regarding a potential bout featuring two of the biggest names ever in the Middle Eastern MMA, the undefeated Ottman Azaitar who is the reigning lightweight champion facing Abdul Kareem Al Selwady. Both are undefeated in Brave Combat Federation and had made four appearances each.

The announcement of the poster featuring Selwady makes it evident that Brave Combat Federation has major plans featuring “The Pride of Palestine”. Abdul Kareem is currently training in Fortis MMA in Dallas, Texas and had been a crowd favourite in the Middle East. Currently the lightweight division of Brave Combat Federation is the division where the championship is yet to be defended. Packed with major star power from around the world including Lucas Martins, Eldar Eldarov, Luan Santiago, Ahmed Amir, Godofredo Pepey, Erick Da Silva and more the division is clamouring for a title defence. Brave 18 being the highlight of the year for Brave Combat Federation which is the only organisation other than UFC to bring an IMMAF World Championship, a main event featuring Selwady will definitely make the event the focal point of the region.

Brave 18 will take place on 16th November at the Khalifa Sports City in Isa Town, Bahrain. Brave International Combat Week 2018 will also feature IMMAF World Championship which will hosted for the second time in the Kingdom of Bahrain. Participation from 103 nations are expected to take place during the largest world championships ever hosted.
