It has only been a few days since the UFC announced a bout between Valentina Shevchenko and former strawweight champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk would take place at end of the year for the vacant flyweight belt.
It now appears the UFC has had a change of mind and moved Shevchenko to headline UFC 230 at Madison Square Gardens in New York but her opponent will now be Sijara Eubanks for the vacant flyweight title on Nov 3rd.
The news was broken by ESPN’s Brett Okamoto through Twitter.
Per sources, UFC has discussed moving Valentina Shevchenko's flyweight title fight up from UFC 231 in December to MSG in November. She's supposed to face Joanna Jedrzejczyk, but that may change too if the switch happens. MSG still in flux, but discussions taking place nonstop.

UFC president Dana White tells me Shevchenko, Eubanks is a "done deal" but I've now been told there was a miscommunication between one of the parties and the UFC, and bout agreements have not yet been officially signed. The UFC has offered it but it's not signed. Stay tuned.

This move would also mean that the Nate Diaz and Dustin Poirier fight will be co-main and will not be for a 165 pounds title.
