Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series has had several stories of fighters beating the odds to achieve success in MMA over the course of their first two seasons. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will meet a California crusader looking to throw his fists of fire at Bellator 220 on April 27. A professional since June 2013 and representing Nor Cal Fighting Alliance, Jordan Williams owns a 7-2-1 record in nine career bouts as a professional comprised of five knockouts, one submission one decision and a no contest. Williams appeared on week three of season two of Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series in 2018. He is currently 1-0 under the Bellator MMA banner. Williams has earned a finish in six out his seven victories as a professional.
In his MMA debut at CFFC Nor Cal Conflict, he defeated Sean Choice via TKO in the third round. Williams defeated JC Llamas via unanimous decision at TWC 19 Blackout. Then at TPF 22 Champions Collide 2, he defeated Christian Barber via TKO in the first round. In his only appearance for West Coast Fighting Championship at WFC 15 Williams knocked out Richard Rigmaden in round one. At Tachi Palace Fights 25 he submitted Preston Scharf in the first round via rear naked choke to earn the first submission victory of his professional career. Williams knocked out Alexander Lopez in the first round.
In his debut appearance with Bellator MMA at Bellator 199, he defeated Brandon Hester via TKO in the second round to secure his first victory under the Bellator MMA banner The win also gave Williams the fifth knockout win of his professional career. At Bellator 220 on April 27 he will look to make it back to back victories with Bellator MMA when he faces Diego Herzog in a middleweight encounter.
