Bantamweight rising prospect Aidan James will look to move up the ladder at his weight class when he takes on Jalal Al Daaja at Brave 23: Pride and Honor, set for April 19th, in Amman, Jordan. Welshman James is coming off the biggest victory of his young career at Brave 17, in Pakistan, when he beat SBG Ireland’s own Frans Mlambo.
Fresh off a failed title shot against divisional champion Stephen Loman, Mlambo was the favourite to get back on track against James – then 2-0 as a professional.
However, the Chris Rees Academy product had other plans, as he held his own in the striking department before putting the fight to the ground with a stellar takedown. From then on, he transitioned to the back and quickly locked in a rear-naked choke. Before Mlambo could tap, he went out.
