The early days of Cage Warriors were so much more than the notorious one. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will be introduced to one of England’s top grappling aces looking to return in roaring style at Cage Warriors 105 on May 31 in the promotion’s return to Colchester at Charter Hall. A professional since February 2012 and representing BKK Fighters, Sean Carter owns a 12-6 record in 18 career bouts as a professional comprised of nine submissions, two decisions and one knockout. Carter has earned a finish in 10 of his 12 professional victories and has competed with Cage Warriors, BCMMA and UCMMA.
In his MMA debut at UCMMA 26 The Real Deal, he submitted Danny Welsh via rear naked choke in the third round. Carter defeated his next three opponents that included wins over Dom Clark and Ben Deller Smith. Then in his debut appearance with Cage Warriors at Cage Warriors Fight Night 8, he tapped out Matt Hughes in the second round via guillotine choke. Carter also submitted Adam Boussif via arm triangle choke in round two at Cage Warriors 56. For his next outing with Cage Warriors at Cage Warriors 60, he tapped out Richard Griffin via rear naked choke in the second round. At Cage Warriors 63, Carter submitted Myles Price in round one via triangle choke. He defeated Mario Saeed via unanimous decision at Cage Warriors 67. At Cage Warriors 74 Carter tapped out Tim Wilde via triangle choke in the second round. In the headliner of BCMMA 17, he submitted Danny Joel via rear naked choke in round one. At BCMMA 18 he tapped out Emerik Youmbi in round three via arm triangle choke. The win also earned Carter the ninth submission victory of his professional career.
In his next appearance with Cage Warriors at Cage Warriors 105 on May 31, he will look to enter double digits in the submission department when he takes on BAMMA veteran Tim Barnett in a lightweight clash between two of the division’s proven finishers. Good luck Sean!
