There always appears to be a switch that gets flipped on when two fighters lock eyes and the cage door slams shut with a loud slam. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will be introduced to two ruthless fighters whose claws always seem to come out when the lights shine the brightest.

Steven Hooper

A professional since September 2017 and representing SBG Mainline under the watchful eye of European veteran and head coach Matt Inman, Steven Hooper owns a 3-3 record in six career bouts as professional comprised of two submissions and one decision. Hooper has competed with Full Contact Contender, Shinobi FC Cage Warriors and Almighty Fighting Championship. Out of his three victories as a professional, he has managed to earn a finish in two of them. In his MMA debut at Almighty Fighting Championship 6, he submitted Poland’s Patryk Krzak in the first round via rear naked choke. Then in his only appearance with Shinobi FC at Shinobi War 11, The Return of Shinobi Hooper tapped out Anthony O’ Connor via triangle choke in the second round to earn his second submission victory as a professional. For his lone outing with Full Contact Contender at FCC 21, he defeated Ellis Hampson via unanimous decision. The victory also earned Hooper the first decision win of his professional career. With six professional contests under his belt and has earned his stripes of some of the toughest promotions Europe has to offer, Hooper always has a knack for knowing when to clock in at the perfect time!

Ben Ellis

A professional since April 2019 and representing The MAT Academy Wales alongside fellow Welshmen Lewis Long and Aaron Khalid, Ben Ellis owns a 1-0 record with his lone professional victory coming via knockout. In his MMA debut at Cage Warriors 104, he faced Brad Evans and defeated him via TKO in the first round to earn his first knockout win as a professional. At 1-0 this dragon is just starting to stoke his flame!
