Across The Pond Featured Fighters: Akonne Wanliss and Jordan Peake

All across Europe, there are fighters causing quite a stir on the professional stage with each prospect bringing their own unique sense of personal style and flair with every loud slam of the cage door.  In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will be introduced to two fearsome warriors beating the drum on the way to professional success.

Akonne Wanliss

A professional since June 2018 and representing Team Renagade, Akonne Wanliss owns a 3-1 record with all three of his victories as a professional coming via knockout. Wanliss has competed with MTK MMA, Golden Ticket Fight Promotions and Bellator MMA. He is currently 1-0 under the Bellator MMA banner and has managed to finish all three of his professional victories. At MTK MMA 5 the rising, he defeated Lewis Needham in the first round. Then in his lone appearance with Golden Ticket Fight Promotions at GTFP 11 Wanliss faced Jack Owen and defeated him via TKO in the first round. For his debut outing with Bellator MMA as part of the promotion’s efforts to have more of a consistent presence within the European market Wanliss faced Sam Slater at Bellator Birmingham and defeated him via TKO in round two to secure his first win under the Bellator MMA banner. The win also earned Wanliss the third knockout victory of his professional career. The force is certainly strong inside this power puncher!

Jordan Peake

A professional since March 2019 and representing Tillery Combat MMA under head coach Richard Shore, Jordan Peake owns a 1-0 record with his lone victory as a professional coming via knockout. In his MMA debut at Cage Warriors Academy Wales 3, he faced Brad Evans and defeated him via TKO in the first round to earn the first knockout victory of his professional career. Having top-notch teammates and one of the top coaches in all of European MMA will ensure that this dragon’s flame stays lit!
