Leading global mixed martial arts promotion Bellator MMA makes its highly anticipated return to Dublin on Friday, September 27 at the 3Arena, with a stacked event now featuring the promotional debut of 12-fight UFC veteran Myles Jury (18-4) versus former multi-time world champion Benson Henderson (27-8) in a lightweight clash.
Bellator have confirmed that this will be a dual broadcast event, with the portion of the card billed as Bellator 227: Henderson vs. Jury airing on Sky Sports in the UK and Ireland. The five-fight card also includes the always-exciting promotional veteran Brandon Girtz (16-8) taking on Irish fan favourite Paul Redmond (15-8) at lightweight and women’s featherweight Leah McCourt (2-1) steps up against Kerry Hughes (3-4) in another Anglo-Irish clash. More exciting bouts will be added to the Bellator 227 portion of the card in the coming days.
Bellator Dublin: Gallagher vs. Ellenor will air LIVE at 10 p.m. BST on Channel 5 in the U.K. and on Virgin Media Television in Ireland. Bellator Dublin is a Bellator European Series event featuring Irish sensation James Gallagher (9-1) who will defend his home turf against Cal Ellenor (8-2) in a bantamweight main event. Also featuring on the three-bout card is a welterweight grudge match between British MMA star Michael “Venom” Page (14-1) and Ireland’s own Richard Kiely (3-1), as well as a lightweight bout pitting Ryan Scope (10-2) against Peter Queally (11-5-1).
The event will also feature a number of marquee preliminary bouts, which will be available to watch live and free globally on the Bellator Mobile App.
