Across the Pond Profile: Cage Warriors fighters Charlie Watts and Ben Hajir

Many of Europe’s MMA stars in the early beginnings of their professional journeys were often shaped and moulded in Cage Warriors such as Neil Seery and Jack Mason just to name a few. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will be introduced to two raging lions who always knew how to bring the roar in the early beginnings of Europe’s largest MMA promotion.

Charlie Watts

A professional since February 2012 and representing Manor London, Charlie Watts owns a 5-2 record in seven career bouts as a professional comprised of three submissions and two decisions. Watts spent the majority of his professional tenure with Cage Warriors and managed to earn a finish in three of his five professional victories. In his MMA debut at Cage Warriors 45 in London, he faced Chad Brown and defeated him in the second round. Watts submitted Massimilano Martini in the first round via rear-naked choke at Ultimate Warrior Challenge 19. Then in his second appearance with Cage Warriors at Cage Warriors 48, he faced Victor Peixoto and managed to tap him out in round one to score his third submission win as a professional. Watts defeated Ben Constantine via split decision at Cage Warriors 60. At Cage Warriors 64 he faced Andy Kerr and went on to defeat him via unanimous decision. The victory also earned Watts the second decision win of his professional career. The force is certainly strong inside this ox of a fighter!

Ben Hajir

A professional since September 2010 and representing The MMA Clinic, Ben Hajir owns a 3-1 record with all three of his wins coming via submission. Hajir competed with Shock n Awe and Cage Warriors and managed to score a finish in all three of his victories. At Cage Warriors 45, he faced Michael Jones and submitted him in the third round via armbar. Hajir also tapped out Joe Lawrence via rear-naked choke in round one at Shock n Awe 12. For his second outing with Cage Warriors at Cage Warriors 52, he submitted Anthony Ferguson via armbar in the first round to earn the third submission victory of his professional career. It’s tap or nap when Hajir takes to the floor!
