Paddy Pimblett vs Donovan Desmae set for CW111

After over a year out of the cage due to injury, Paddy ‘The Baddy’ Pimblett returns to face Belgian knockout artist Donovan Desmae at CW111.

As first reported by Ariel Helwani, the huge lightweight bout will take place at the London Indigo at the O2 on November 22nd.

Pimblett (14-3) has provided Cage Warriors fans with some of the most memorable scenes in the promotion’s history, with the highlight of his career undoubtedly being his knockout win over Johnny Frachey which won him the World Featherweight Title at CW78.

Standing in his way on December 8th is a formidable force: Donovan Desmae (14-5) of Red Kings MMA in Belgium, who’s record includes dominant wins over Tim Barnett and former title contenders Alexander Jacobsen and Aiden Lee.

‘The Baddy’ is known for his spectacular fight style, and pulled off a highlight-reel flying triangle submission at CW90 in February last year – his 10th finish since his pro debut in 2012.

Speaking to Ariel Helwani, Pimblett said: “The comeback’s happening.

“I was scheduled to fight Donovan in December last year, and I said when I had to pull out that if he wants the fight when I come back, then he can have it. I’m a man of my word.

“Everything happens for a reason, because Donovan’s now the number one contender. I’ll come back, take Donovan out and then I’ll be coming for that belt.”

The CW111 card will also feature two world title fights, with James Webb and Mads Burnell defending their belts in the middleweight and featherweight divisions.
