Across the Pond Profile: Josh Plant and Paul Harper

Narratives are never told the same way in the vast and expansive landscape of MMA. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will be introduced to two slick serpents slithering up the long and twisted ladder in the ranks of professional MMA by wrapping their opponents in a constricting squeeze of an embrace.

Josh Plant

A professional since February 2017 and representing Impact Combat and Fitness, Josh Plant owns a 2-3 record in five career bouts as a professional comprised of one submission and one knockout. Plant has competed with BAMMA, Golden Ticket Fight Promotions and Cage Warriors and has gone on to finish both of his victories as a professional. In his MMA debut at Golden Ticket Fight Promotions 4, he faced Lawrence Jordan Tracey and went on to defeat him via TKO in the second round to earn his first and only knockout win as a professional thus far. Then in his second appearance with BAMMA at BAMMA 34, Plant submitted John Nicholls in the first round via heel hook to pick up his first win under the BAMMA banner. The win also earned Plant the first and only submission victory thus far in his professional career. Foes certainly do not want to find themselves in this serpent’s deadly clutches otherwise the breath of life could very end up being sucked out!

Paul Harper

A professional since September 2012 and representing Primal Combat Academy, Paul Harper owns a 2-2 record with both of his professional wins coming via submission. Harper’s 2 victories as a professional have come under the banner of UCMMA. At UCMMA 55, he submitted John Stone via armbar in the first round. Harper also tapped out Tony Hall in round two via triangle choke to earn back to back wins with UCMMA. The pickings become prime for this grappler once it hits the floor!
