Across the Pond Profile: Cage Warriors fighters Ian Garry and Nathan Fletcher

The year 2019 has yielded an armful of riches for a slew of talented newcomers to the MMA stage in Europe. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will be introduced to two of Cage Warriors top young lions flexing their claws with a powerful combo of youthful looks and limitless talent that continues to blossom right before our very eyes as they sharpen and hone their arsenals under two of the most well-respected head bosses in the euro scene.

Ian Garry

A professional since February 2019 and representing Team KF Swords under head coach and fellow Cage Warriors veteran Chris Fields, Ian Garry owns an undefeated 3-0 record comprised of one knockout, one submission and one decision. Garry has spent the whole of his professional tenure with Cage Warriors and has gone on to finish two of his three professional victories. In his MMA debut at Cage Warriors 101, he faced James Sheehan and went on to defeat him via unanimous decision. Garry also defeated Italy’s Matteo Ceglia via TKO in the second appearance with the promotion at Cage Warriors Unplugged 2. At Cage Warriors 110 which also marked the promotion’s return to Irish soil, he submitted Poland’s Matt Figlak via rear-naked choke in the first round to earn his third win in a row with Cage Warriors. The win also scored Garry the first submission victory of his professional career. A pandora’s box of flawless technique and keen fighter IQ this Irish buck will brutalize any foe that stands in the way!

Nathan Fletcher

A professional since May 2019 and representing Next Generation Liverpool under head coach Paul Rimmer, Nathan Fletcher owns a 2-0 record with both of his victories as a professional coming via submission. In his MMA debut at Cage Warriors 105, he submitted Rico Biggs in the first round via arm-triangle choke. For his second outing with Cage Warriors at Cage Warriors 110 Fletcher faced Ciaran Mulholland and submitted him via rear-naked choke in round two to earn the second submission win of his professional career. This lion’s roar is just starting to rev up into high gear!
