Across the Pond Profile: Cage Warriors fighter Liam Gittins

Many of the top prospects in all of Europe made their first impression on lesser-known and smaller promotions before winding up in the arms of Cage Warriors. in today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will be introduced to a Euro MMA grim reaper looking to implant monstrous visions of doom and destruction in the heads of his opponents in the new year and beyond with his scary knockout power. A professional since April 2018 and representing Team Elite Southport, Liam Gittins owns an undefeated 5-0 record comprised of four knockouts and one decision. Gittins is currently 2-0 under the banner of Cage Warriors and has finished 80 per cent of his professional victories with four of those five wins having not made it off the first round He has also competed with Cage Warriors Academy Northwest and Almighty Fighting Championship.

In his MMA debut at Almighty FC 8, he defeated Iain Postlelethwaite via TKO in the first round. Gittins also defeated Leigh Mitchell at Cage Warriors Academy Northwest 3 via TKO in round one. Then in his debut outing with Cage Warriors at Cage Warriors 96, he faced Spain’s Kevin Cordero Lopez and went on to defeat him via TKO in the first round. For his second and final outing with Almighty Fighting Championship at Almighty FC 13 Gittins defeated Elliott Hoye via TKO in round one to pick up his fourth knockout win as a professional.

In his second appearance with Cage Warriors at Cage Warriors 111 in London, he faced fellow knockout specialist Adam Amarasinghe and defeated him via split decision to make it two in a row with Cage Warriors. The win also scored Gittins the first decision victory of his professional career. Unblemished at 5-0 and having four first-round finishes under his belt, Gittins is dead set on becoming the type of fighter that nightmares are made of!
