When a fighter loses someone that they have been close with for many years, it is almost as though the fighter and the departed soul become a single bonded entity so they can bust and break down tragedy’s black door together with one hand on each shoulder. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will be introduced to a Zeus-like mover of mountains looking to begin his tenure with the UFC in roaring and emphatic style at UFC On ESPN 24 on January 25 from the PNC Arena in Raleigh North Carolina in the promotion’s return to the tar heel state for the first time since UFC On Fox 27 in 2018. A professional since September 2017 and representing Black Lion Academy, Jamahal Hill owns an undefeated 6-0 record comprised of three knockouts and three decisions. Hill earned his contract with the UFC on week five during season three of Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series in 2019 and has also fought on various regional promotions in his home state of Michigan including Knockout Promotions and Lights Out Championship.

In his MMA debut at Knockout Promotions 58, he faced Alex Davidson and went on to defeat him via unanimous decision. Hill also defeated Mike Johnson at Knockout Promotions 59 via TKO in the first round. Then at Knockout Promotions 61, he defeated William Vincent via unanimous decision. Hill also defeated Dequan Townsend via unanimous decision to pick up his third decision win as a professional at Knockout Promotions 62. He defeated Vincent for the second time at Lights Out Championship 2 via TKO in round one.

At DWTNCS 5, Hill faced German knockout artist Alexander Poppeck and defeated him via TKO in the second round to capture the third knockout victory of his professional career along with a UFC contract. At UFC On ESPN Plus 24 on January 25, he will take on Darko Stosic in a light heavyweight clash that will open up the main card on ESPN Plus. Good luck Jamahal!
