Cage Warriors have confirmed the first list of names for their May 16th show at the SSE Arena, including Northern Irish fighting sensation Rhys McKee.
Europe’s leading MMA promotion is gearing up to stage their first-ever Belfast event at the SSE Arena and will be showcasing the hottest fighting talent from Northern Ireland and across Europe.
Headlining the card will be Ballymena’s Rhys McKee, who is currently on the best form of his career having picked up 3 straight wins in the last year. His next opponent is yet to be confirmed.
McKee’s last fight at the sold-out Cork Neptune Stadium in December ended in a first-round knockout.
Also confirmed on the card are Belfast’s Joe McColgan, Newry’s Decky McAleenan and still-undefeated Derry prospect Paul Hughes, with all on winning form after a strong end to 2019.
Ian Garry, one of Dublin, Ireland’s most exciting young names, will also compete on May 16th as he continues to surge through the ranks.
Cage Warriors have sent nearly 100 fighters to the UFC, including many of Ireland’s biggest MMA names – Conor McGregor, Cathal Pendred and Joe Duffy to name just 3.
International names such as Gegard Mousasi, Brett Johns and Jack Marshman all went from holding Cage Warriors world titles to competing at the SSE Belfast for the UFC, which begs the question… which of Ireland’s young athletes will be able to etch their name in history on May 16th?
Cage Warriors Belfast is on sale today, allowing Early Bird fans to save 20% on full price for a limited time. Tickets can be purchased HERE.
