EFC goes ahead as planned with crowd in attendance

Sport in general and not just MMA has taken a hit worldwide this weekend as the coronavirus has seen the cancellation of nearly every top league in Europe alone.
The UFC has decided to have their event in Brazil behind closed doors but for MMA fans who like to watch MMA with a crowd in attendance then South African promotion EFC can help you out this weekend.
EFC 84 takes place Saturday in Pretoria with a welterweight title fight taking centre stage and the good news for fans in the UK is that you can watch it live on with the show kicking off at a good time for a UK audience of 18:00.
The weigh in for the championship bout provided some drama as Lyle Karam (6-0) missed weight. He faces a former team mate in Zimbabwe’s Themba Gorimbo (8-2) the current champion. This is the first EFC show of the year.
“Tomorrow night,” Gorimbo said, “I will still be champion and continue winning. He is not enough for me.”
Karam is unfazed, saying,” I know what I am doing and I am gonna come out on top.”
So as things stand, UK fans can tune into EFC and then tune into the main card of the UFC.
