CW113 relocates to Manchester

This evening, the London Indigo at the O2 – the venue due to host CW113 this Friday night – confirmed that it will no longer be open to events until further notice. The news came via an announcement from AEG.

In less than an hour, Cage Warriors President Graham Boylan has confirmed that he and his team have moved CW113 to the Manchester BEC Arena – the venue that hosted the promotion’s last event on March 7th.

The event will be held behind closed doors with only fighters and event staff in attendance.

Boylan said: “The Cage Warriors team is working around-the-clock to get this done.

“After everything they’ve been through, the fighters deserve to compete. After all the support they’ve shown us, the fans deserve some calm amongst the chaos. We’re determined to provide the world with a seriously exciting night of MMA this Friday.”

CW113 will be broadcast on UFC Fight Pass and a host of international broadcast partners around the globe, and features 3 world title fights to top one of Cage Warriors’ biggest cards of all time.

In another new announcement, Cage Warriors have also confirmed that Darren Stewart vs Bartosz Fabinski is the second UFC bout to take place at CW113, after Stewart and Fabinski’s opponents were unable to compete amid the UFC London fallout.

The first UFC bout confirmed to take place at CW113 was John Phillips vs Dusko Todorovic.

All other bouts on the card are currently scheduled to go ahead.

The MAIN CARD (from 9PM) will be broadcast live on UFC FightPass globally and on a host of territorial broadcast partners. The PRO PRELIMS (from 5.15PM) will be broadcast live and free for all on cagewarriors.com.
