In the fight game, trips around the world and back provide a match to rekindle old passions or ignite a new spark of light. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will meet a steel-eyed jayhawker looking to throw the book at his opponents with his five-star ground game. A professional mixed martial artist since June 2010 and representing Combative Sports Center, Jake Lindsey owns a 14-9 professional record in 23 bouts comprised of six submissions, five knockouts and three decisions. Lindsey has fought on various promotions throughout the midwestern United States including Shamrock FC and Victory FC. He is also a three-time veteran of the UFC. In addition to the UFC Lindsey has competed with Bellator MMA, Titan FC LFA and Unified MMA and has finished 11 of his 14 victories as a pro thus far in his MMA tenure.

In his MMA debut, he faced Bobby Cooper and went on to defeat him via unanimous decision. Lindsey knocked out Beto Serrano in round two at Victory FC 34. He submitted his next two opponents in Willian De Souza and Danny Black. Then at Titan FC 23 Fight for the Troops, he defeated Jordan Johnson via unanimous decision. Lindsey defeated his next three foes that included wins over Zach Freeman and Darion Terry. At VFC Junction City 5 he defeated Ted Worthington via TKO in the first round. Lindsey tapped out Ian Stonehouse in the second round via rear-naked choke at VFC Junction City 6. He defeated Zac Bucia at Victory FC 50 via TKO in the third round. Lindsey defeated Aaron Highfill via unanimous decision at Shamrock FC 286. At Evolution Fighting Championship 10 he tapped out Dawond Pickney in the first round.

In the main event of Unified MMA 36, Lindsey faced Canadian knockout artist Pat Pytlik and went on to submit him in round two to earn the sixth submission victory of his professional career. With 11 finishes out of his 14 wins a mistake against this finisher could mean severe schooling!
