Across the Pond Profile: Legacy Fighting Alliance fighter Adam Stroup

A fighter’s journey to becoming a star in the world of mixed martial arts can be long and arduous with numerous chapters of success and failure. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will meet a ram of the Rockies whose veteran zen has him primed to charge any opponent as he continues to drill through the never-ending grind. A professional mixed martial artist since February 2012 and representing Factory X, Adam Stroup owns a 14-5 record in 19 professional bouts comprised of five decisions, five submissions and four knockouts. Stroup has fought for several promotions including Legacy Fighting Alliance. So far in his career as a pro-MMA fighter he has finished nine of 14 victories with only five of the 14 wins getting the 15-minute treatment. He is currently 2-0 under the banner of Legacy Fighting Alliance and has competed with various regional MMA promotions in his home state of Colorado including Sparta Combat League.

In his MMA debut, he submitted Terry Nunnaley via armbar in the third round. Stroup defeated his next three opponents that included wins over Jason Clayton and Michael Matthews. Then at SCL Greeley Stampede, he defeated Jeremy Hart via unanimous decision. Stroup defeated his next two foes via TKO in Justin Guthrie and Jason Lee. He tapped out Frank Lester in the first round via rear-naked choke. Stroup submitted Charlie Brown via triangle choke in the second round at SCL 46. At SCL 62 Unbroken he defeated Billy Martin via TKO in round one. Stroup defeated Sidiah Parker via split decision at SCL 68 Testament.

In his debut fight for Legacy Fighting Alliance at LFA 57, he faced Brazil’s Lucas Rota and defeated him via unanimous decision. At LFA 65 Stroup defeated Hayward Charles via unanimous decision. The win earned Stroup the fifth decision victory of his professional career along with back to back wins under the LFA banner. This ram will be seeing red if provoked into a throwdown!
